Total Conveyancing Services (TCS) achieves Legal Eye Quality Standard

Legal Eye, a subsidiary of the ULS Group, is delighted to announce that North West legal firm Total Conveyancing Services has achieved the Legal Eye Quality Standard (LEQS).

The Legal Eye Quality Standard is recognised to be the first assessment scheme to address those rules and regulations which are over and above the traditional quality standards. The LEQS is awarded to firms who have demonstrated compliance with the Code of Conduct but also with legislation including the E-Commerce Directive, the Bribery Act 2010, the Equality Act 2010 and areas such as referral and fee sharing, publicity and treating customers fairly.

Helen Glaze, Senior Compliance Associate, at Legal Eye says: “It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Edwina, John and the staff at TCS over the last few months. TCS recognises the importance of compliance and understands that it is key to the success of its business. In working with TCS, we were particularly impressed by a number of its client facing documents which explain in plain English the process from start to finish. We are delighted to present TCS with the Legal Eye Quality Standard.”

TCS Compliance Director, John Jones, who is a professional member of the CLC Council, comments: “Compliance has always been important to the firm and is crucial to our planned future growth.”

Managing Director, Nick Chadbourne, who joined the firm in February 2016 says: “It is testimony to the staff at TCS, and in particular John Jones and Edwina Homfray-Davies, our Professional Support Manager, that our compliance is of such a high standard to achieve this recognition. The firm is going through some transformational changes in relation to the customer experience and as such it is reassuring to know that we are at the forefront of the sector in relation to our customers’ security.”

TCS is a member of the Conveyancing Association and is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary. The firm invests heavily in training and development with two of their members of staff shortlisted for the Modern Law ‘Conveyancer of the Year’ and ‘Rising Star’ awards this year, with another shortlisted for ‘Young Conveyancer of the Year’ at the LFS Awards.
