The first SLC/BLG Spring Road Show in Leeds will take place on Tuesday 5th May at the Novotel in Leeds, starting at 2.00pm.
These 2015 Road Shows organised by the Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) and Bold Legal Group
(BLG) and sponsored by Property Search Group (PSG), CLS/Future Climate Info and Wesleyan will kick off in Leeds on 5th May. This year’s events are packed with topical presentations including the latest on
Veyo and its much anticipated launch, and how the Land Registry is tackling its registration backlogs which have been such an irritant to conveyancers. There will be an update on the legal issues now associated with invasive species such as Japanese Knotweed and what these mean for homeowners in the buying and selling process. There will also be a feature on the changing landscape in respect of surveys for property purchasers and the role that mortgage lenders will increasingly expect conveyancers to play.
With an update from the CLC, a presentation by Willis in respect of PI Insurance, and an informative slot on pensions (affecting all!) and retirement (affecting some!) by Wesleyan, the agenda is full and varied.
Simon Law, Chairman of the SLC said “These events are unique in that they are organised by conveyancers for conveyancers and the agenda reflects what the profession wants to hear about. Each year they are more and more popular and we are expecting record numbers of delegates in 2015.
