Legal workflow specialist, OchreSoft, has announced details of its first win of 2013. It has been appointed by Top 50 law firm, Slater & Gordon Lawyers (S&G) (Formerly Russell Jones & Walker Solicitors), to deliver its Intelliworksâ„¢ Conveyancing software across S&G’s Property team.
The project, which has already gone live just five weeks after signing, saw the roll-out of a complete end-to-end Conveyancing solution comprising OchreSoft’s Cloud-based content-enabled workflow system and an S&G branded portal for clients and agents. With increasing volumes of conveyancing business falling out of S&G’s existing partnerships with membership organisations, the head of the property team Peter Klim was keen to maintain the highest degree of operational efficiency, compliance and client care.
Comments Peter: “We went to market with a fairly long shopping list. We wanted the system to be discrete, quick and easy to deploy. We wanted it to be a market leader but good value for money. We wanted it to extend well beyond workflow to embrace legal content, manage integration to other parties in the transaction such as the SDLT submission to HMRC and most importantly offer an online portal for our clients. And we needed this all to come from a provider with the requisite commitment to, and knowledge of, the sector to ensure we have the right system and support for the long-term.
OchreSoft’s unique Cloud model, the depth of the solution, the ‘light touch’ nature of a system that is ready to go and automatically updated in real-time, the option to add more value to the mix with innovations such as the new Quotes tool, a support team that harnesses legal as well as IT talent, these all made for a stand-out offering.”
Richard Bretherton, chief executive, OchreSoft, is delighted with the S&G win:
“Every win is a good win but this is particularly significant in that S&G has chosen not to take the resource intensive route of an internal workflow design project, but opted for what is essentially an off-the-shelf solution, albeit a best of breed solution. Peter Klim and his team have recognised the real value lies in the continuous refresh of legal process and content and in the creation of client-facing tools such as real-time case tracking. That such a solution can be brought online so quickly and easily simply compounds that value, a fact that is now being acknowledged by law firms of all sizes.”
