INTRODUCING ONESEARCH TRANSACT: PROVIDING PROPERTY SEARCHES CERTAINTY AMID CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

OneSearch Direct, the largest local search data company in the UK, has today announced the launch of OneSearch Transact; a data-led transaction solution that provides property solicitors with access to required residential conveyancing searches and environmental reports, backed by insurance to safeguard new and existing residential property transactions.

OneSearch Transact has launched in response to the challenges currently facing the property industry, with few physical Local Authority searches taking place due to the current crisis being faced across the country. OneSearch Transact includes:

  • Local Search Enquiries (CON29R Data) backed by a comprehensive insurance policy. The indemnity policy includes cover for:
  • A Search of the Local Land Charges Register form LLC1
  • A Search of CON29R and/or CON29O records
  • A Search of Water and Drainage records on CON29DW
  • Coal Mining Report (CON29M)Residential
  • Environmental – Landmark Envirosearch Residential Report

NSR Chancel Indemnity Policy – up to the value of £1 Million.

The unique product is a hybrid of historical search data, accessible live data and any residual risk is indemnified by Aviva with cover of up to £1 Million, along with OneSearch Direct’s £10 Million Professional Indemnity policy.

This provides property lawyers and conveyancers with the upfront data about clients’ properties, and provides the confidence needed at this uncertain time to help keep the residential property industry moving.

Elizabeth Jarvis, Managing Director, OneSearch Direct, comments:

“Council offices are closing up and down the country and so we have introduced OneSearch Transact to give our customers access to a conveyancing search rescue package. The data-led service provides the residential search data needed, in addition to key environmental and mining searches and is backed by the relevant insurances to offer the safeguards conveyancers need.

“Thanks to the backing of our parent company, our business has significantly invested in people and training to ensure we can bring this product to the industry, at scale, at this difficult time. In addition, we have been collecting and storing local search data since 1992 and providing hybrid data and insurance-backed reports for the last decade. In that time no one has ever raised a claim on the policy.

“We believe our new OneSearch Transact product will provide our customers with peace of mind so that they can at least access the data needed to keep residential transactions moving in the right direction, during these unprecedented times.”

  1. nice idea although this is NOT SearchCode compliant and so anyone using this should contact their lender to see if it is acceptable to them.
