“While house price growth has cooled considerably, in real terms we are still experiencing quarter on quarter and indeed annual growth.
“For those struggling to make it onto the housing ladder, UK house price growth means the goal posts are moving considerably from month to month. The longer it takes to save, the more house prices rise, the cycle continues.
“To tackle UK housing affordability, more homes must be built. But, unless these homes are built at the right price, in the right place, for the right people, we will fail to break ground on the UK’s housing crisis.
“To solve this problem we need to get smarter. We have been calling for Britain to get building for years, however addressing the UK’s housing crisis is about so much more than just bricks and mortar. The intelligent use of property data could be the silver bullet for the UK’s housing crisis, enabling the property industry to find opportunity and then plan and prepare developments more effectively and efficiently.”
