Young property lawyer up for new award

Emma Alsop, a property lawyer with Lanyon Bowdler, has been selected as one of three finalists shortlisted for Young Conveyancer of the Year at the 2012 LFS Conveyancing Awards.

This is the launch year for the awards. They have been organised to recognise and reward those in the industry that have provided an outstanding service.

The Young Conveyancer award is open to anyone under 30 who exceeds technically and displays first class customer service.

Partner and head of the residential property department Emma Wilde said: “I am delighted to see Emma shortlisted for this award; she stepped up to the challenge of leading the team at our Shrewsbury office and has demonstrated excellent commitment.

“She has worked hard building connections and developing relationships in the local area. She will be a worthy winner on the night!”

Emma joined Lanyon Bowdler’s residential property team at their Telford office in December 2009 and was transferred to lead the team based at the firm’s Shrewsbury offices at Abbey Lawn in February 2010.

She manages property transactions for local clients, which include high value and complex matters.

Emma has played a key role in the development of the department’s case management system, which is pivotal for ensuring all transactions proceed smoothly.

The winner of the Young Conveyancer of the Year award will receive a magnificent trophy as well as 2 tickets for a West End Show and hotel accommodation in London for the night.
