Update on the changes to SDLT submission

HM Revenue & Customs have made a further announcement regarding submissions of form SDLT1, including the supplementary forms SDLT3 and SDLT4, online screens will also be changing.  Previously the National Insurance number was not a required field but as from 4th July 2011 the lead purchaser’s National Insurance number and date of birth will be required on submission of the forms.
New forms will be available from 1st April 2011 together with an updated edition of the SDLT6 guidance notes.  The old forms can still be used until 3rd July 2011 but after that date only the new versions of the forms will be accepted, with the new forms also contain HMRC’s new bank account details.  The online guidance notes will also change.
