ULS appoint finance expert as new Managing Director

As of next week, it has been announced there will be a new Managing Director leading ULS Technology plc, one of the UK’s leading providers of online B2B platforms within the conveyancing industry.

Established in 2003, ULS now supply a range of products within the legal, property and financial sectors. The company is best known for their award-winning conveyancing portal, eConveyancer, which was launched back in 2010. Current plans are to expand the business into a wider range of industry sectors.

Starting his role at ULS on 11th November, Ben Thompson will be leaving his position as Director of Banks and Affinities at Legal & General. Thompson has been working at Legal & General for the past 7 years, but has also spent nearly 3 decades in the financial sector, with previous senior positions at St James’ Palace, Paymentshield and Winterthur Life.

Thompson is set to operate the day to day aspects of the company and will be focussing on developing and enhancing relationships with mortgage providers. He will also be concentrating on progression of current products and promoting them to a new client base.

Former Managing Director at ULS, Nigel Hoath, has been appointed as CEO and will be managing Thompson in his new position. Hoath will now be focussing on strategic business development, growth and delivery.

There is great anticipation for Thompson’s arrival, and Hoath is confident his connections with banks, building societies and other mortgage providers will aid in expanding the business and will be an integral part in the next steps for the business.
