The Conveyancing Foundation Matterhorn Challenge – nearly there, donate now!

Prior to the launch of The Conveyancing Foundation Charity at the Society for Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) and Bold Group Conference in Derby last week, attendees at the pre-Conference Dinner contributed a further £1000 towards the industry Challenge. The fundraising total is now just over £46,500, with fundraising having only started a little over 5 months ago.

The Conveyancing Foundation Free Legal Fee Competition has raised over £300,000 for charity over the course of the last 5 years. The Competition is very simple – clients make a £10 payment on completion of their transaction – £1 is a lottery payment with £9 attracting Gift Aid as a charity donation – making each donation worth £11.25. Each conveyancing company chooses the charity that they want their clients to support. The Competition has the potential of raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity every year.

The Conveyancing Foundation is a not for profit organisation, with all surplus funds from the £1 lottery donations being contributed towards the next prize draw.

The Foundation will gain further exposure next week at the Conveyancing Association Conference, which is being run in partnership with Modern Law and is being held at Stamford Bridge in London on Thursday 3rd December. Please click here for additional information.
