SLC welcomes new CLC Chief Exec

Following the announcement this week that the Council of Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) has appointed a new Chief Executive, the Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) has welcomed Sheila Kumar into her new role.

They have also expressed thanks to June Mulroy, who took on the interim post for the regulator back in April this year.

Simon Law, Chairman of the SLC said: “We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Sheila Kumar into her new role as Chief Executive.

“As a lawyer with an extensive background in regulation, Sheila will no doubt bring with her some very relevant and valuable experience, which I am sure will be of significant benefit to the CLC and all those it regulates.

"We look forward to meeting with her when she takes up the new post in January.”

Mr Law commended the work June Mulroy had done over the last six months.

Of the future he said: “As the regulatory body, the CLC has and continues to play and important role within the industry and it is vital that our two organisations continue to work cohesively together to secure a positive future for the Licensed Conveyancer.”
