Robertsons Solicitors choose SOS Connect for their modernisation plans

Looking to the future is something that all law firms should be doing and Robertsons Solicitors are doing just that, choosing Solicitors Own Software, SOS Connect, to enhance accounting procedures together with document and practice management systems.  Based in Cardiff and Barry, Robertsons  say  “we pride ourselves on our local and highly personal client service”.  With SOS Connect the firm propose to tailor the software to the case management needs of each of their departments.
Robertsons has around 50 members of staff, 11 of which are partners, with the key practice area being residential property.  The firm also offer local and Welsh speaking services for company commercial, remortgage, employment, family, divorce and debt recovery.  Kay Hoskins, Office Manager, says:-
“The business has grown by word of mouth recommendations and it is our intention to keep it local and distinguish ourselves with a face-to-face service — we even call at the homes of clients”.
Withdrawal of support for the current accounts system was the main driver behind the choice to switch to SOS Connect.  Jeff English, IT Manager, commented:
“We chose SOS Connect because we knew that it could be integrated with our current case management system which we use only for residential property. We have taken that system as far as we can justify. However, SOS Connect offers so many additional features and customisable building blocks that it will provide a platform for us to introduce case management into more departments to improve efficiency. We plan to take a softly, softly approach to gain the support of the staff as we adopt new working practices.”
Robertsons’ new system will go live in October following attendance at an SOS scripting course and Kay Hoskins adds:-
“The close integration of SOS Connect with Outlook is a major advantage and will help people to get to grips with the system quickly. We are looking forward to having a more up-to-date and responsive accounting system and easier access to performance information.”
For SOS, Managing Director David McNamara says:-
“Firms are increasingly turning to SOS in the light of software industry consolidation when they discover that their present software is either no longer being developed or supported. Our commitment to continual development and support of our products is providing firms with great reassurance in switching to a more responsive and trusted supplier."
