Marketing for conveyancers

'New ways to practise law' conference being held by Legal Futures

Readers of Today’s Conveyancer have been offered discounted tickets to the next Legal Futures conference “New ways to practise law” on 17 October in London.
New ways to practise law will look at the challenges facing lawyers and the range of strategic responses to them. How should they respond to ABSs? Join a national brand or a referral network? Sign up to a marketing collective? Reshape the way their firm operates or continue as they are? And will existing law firms be able to access new forms of capital?
Delegates will hear the results of specially commissioned research into what consumers and SMEs want from their lawyers, and hear the Legal Ombudsman’s response. They will also find out how new entrants to the market are preparing to meet customer demand, along with real-life examples of law firms big and small that are already exploring external funding. And — subject to its public announcement – we hope to hear from the first UK law firm to float. For a full conference programme click here.
Confirmed speakers include: Professor Stephen Mayson, Legal Services Institute; Adam Sampson, Chief Legal Ombudsman; Paul Munden, Legal Services Consumer Panel; Craig Holt, QualitySolicitors; George Bull and Rowan Williams, Baker Tilly; Charles Layfield, Connect2Law; Gary Yantin, HighStreetLawyer.com; Dan Watkins, Contact Law; Kathyrn Mortimer, DAS; and many more.
Legal Futures is a news and regulation website for UK lawyers, founded by leading legal journalist Neil Rose. The last Legal Futures conference in April sold out in a matter of weeks and delegates described the day as “inspirational…providing increased awareness and contacts”… “well organised and extremely topical”…. “fascinating discussion… provided an invaluable forum and generated open dialogue between the profession and key external stakeholders”.
Readers of Today’s Conveyancer can purchase tickets at the discounted price of £199 + VAT if booked before 9 September (standard early bird price is £220 + VAT), by entering Promotional Code: LF/TCNV when registering online — www.legalfutures.co.uk/conference
