New TV campaign urges 'look for the logo'

A TV campaign is launching urging customers to use licensed estate agents when buying a house.

Titled #Lookforthelogo, the campaign is a joint effort by the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) and encourages consumers to look for the NAEA or ARLA logo when buying or renting a property.

It will air across UK regions including the Midlands, North East and South West, at prime viewing times.

Managing director of NAEA, Mark Hayward, said: “Buying a house or renting a property is a stressful and often complex process, as well as a significant investment; therefore the importance of making a well informed decision as to the choice of estate agent or letting agent for the process is paramount.

“Our new advertising campaign will highlight the importance of using the organisations’ licensed agents to ensure consumers receive professional, expert advice.

"Homeowners or tenants can trust they will be fully protected and supported throughout the buying or letting process as NAEA and ARLA members follow a strict code of conduct.

"The advert is therefore designed to encourage consumers to look for the NAEA or ARLA logos to easily distinguish licensed from non-association branches.”
