New Presidents announced at Propertymark

New presidential teams have recently been welcomed by ARLA Propertymark and NAEA Propertymark.

Succeeding Nik Madan and with 27 years of experience in the lettings industry, Sally Lawson becomes President of ARLA Propertymark, whilst Peter Savage takes on the role of President-Elect. Michelle Niziol has also been appointed at Vice-President. The roles come into effect on 9 June 2017. Sally is CEO and Founder of the National Lettings Franchise.

A RICS chartered surveyor and the owner of agency Sawdye & Harris, Katie Griffin succeeds David Mackie as NAEA Propertymark’s President. Mark Bentley has been appointed as President-Elect, whilst Lauren Scott takes on the role of Vice-President.

Commenting on the appointments was David Cox and Mark Hayward, the respective Chief Executives of ARLA Propertymark and NAEA Propertymark.

David stated: “We’d like to extend our thanks to Nik Madan, who has brought a great deal to the role over the last year; his deep understanding of the sector was instrumental in the launch of Propertymark. I am pleased to welcome Sally to the role – she’s a highly experienced individual and is extremely committed to the industry, we are excited to have her on board.”

Mark commented: “David has brought great energy to the role, and we thank him for his hard work. Katie is an active member and is committed to raising standards within the industry, sharing best practice and nurturing future talent. I look forward to working with her more closely to drive awareness of our new consumer-facing focus as NAEA Propertymark.”
