MyHomeMove CEO picks up gong at British Mortgage Awards

CEO of My Home Move Doug Crawford has been named “Business Leader: Conveyancer” of the year for the third time at the British Mortgage Awards 2016.

According to the conveyancing firm, this is the 22nd award they have picked up since January 2013.

The ceremony was held at the Park Plaza Hotel in London on the 7th July recognised the achievements across the UK mortgage and associated industries in the last year.

Doug Crawford said: “I am absolutely delighted to have been honoured with this award for the third time. The British Mortgage Awards represent the very best of those who work within the mortgage sector and associated industries – tough competition and high praise indeed for which I am grateful.

“These last twelve months have presented some real challenges for our industry; from the rise in property prices to the lack of housing stock and pressure caused by the additional stamp duty levy. Despite these challenges, the industry responded with a collective effort to be proud of. The success this award represents is reflective of the hard work of all my colleagues at My Home Move – and so I’d like to extend my thanks and gratitude to them for their commitment and the exceptional conveyancing service they deliver to tens of thousands of home movers a year.”

Doug Crawford joined My Home Move in 2012 with the company becoming a market leader in mover conveyancing services.

In recent years My Home Move have broken industry records (over 6,000 mover transactions in March 2016) and achieved substantial year-on-year growth.

The firm also say they have revolutionised the customer experience of conveyancing, which they say is down to Doug’s ethos of putting the client at the heart of the business as well as consistent investment in innovation.

The company recently launched its enhanced eWay service which enables clients to manage their conveyancing case on the move, via a smartphone or tablet. Through the accompanying app, clients can be sent push notifications as well as provided with access to support materials, videos, forms and case documents.

The other nominees were Paul Saunders of Shakespeare Martineau and Alan Young of ULS technology.
