LFS invites Roger Wilson to share his thoughts on the conveyancing sector

Law Firm Services (LFS) has recently published an insightful guest post, reflecting the expert insight of Connells’ Conveyancing Services Director, Roger Wilson.

Within the post, Roger analyses the current state of the conveyancing process and shares his views on the main issues within the profession.

One of the key points that is raised is the increased consumer demand, for which Roger comments:

“Customer behaviour and customer expectations have changed out of all recognition, and completely out of proportion with the fees being charged to them. In this 24/7 world, they want replies to emails by return; calls to be answered immediately, and everything has to happen now. Conveyancers are expected to have magic wands and crystal balls, and when matters are beyond the Conveyancers control, the Conveyancer still gets it in the neck, even those acting for the other side!”

The post continues with detail on 5 further areas of concern within conveyancing, including increased levels of leasehold properties, problems with communication, and the prevalence of dishonesty and fraudulent activity within the profession.

This insight was published alongside a range of other articles, as part of the promotional campaign for this year’s LFS events. As well as the glamorous annual award ceremony, legal progessionals can also attend the yearly conference and a number of regional seminars hosted in cities across the country.
