Law Society seek new members for Conveyancing and Land Law committee

The Law Society is currently recruiting for new members to join their Conveyancing and Land Law committee.

They advise that applicants should have an active interest in law reform and an understanding of practical issues relevant to the profession.

The Law Society is particularly keen to ensure that a member for Wales is appointed to the Conveyancing and Land Law committee because there may be divergence of law or policy between England and Wales.

A member for Wales can be someone who may be in practice in Wales, live there, work there or otherwise have a relevant interest.

Successful applicants will be expected to attend between 6-10 meetings per year in London.

Committee members are also expected to be available to help respond to consultations when required.

Travel expenses and an annual allowance of £606 are paid.

More information about the role is available here.
