My Home Move settles into new location and plans to offer apprenticeships

Georgia Owen

My Home Move, the UK’s leading provider of mover conveyancing services, has settled into its new purpose-built home on Leicester’s Grove Park. The multi-million-pound investment by the company, part of its strategy to ensure a ‘Great Place to Work’ brings together all of its 400 strong Leicester-based employees into one campus.

The state-of-the-art facilities provide themed meeting rooms to encourage creativity, an onsite café with health conscious food and Costa coffee, as well as ‘walking desks’ to help combat a desk-bound culture. The company believes it offers one of the most comfortable and innovative work spaces in Leicester.

Commenting, Doug Crawford, CEO of My Home Move said, “We appreciate the hard work our colleagues put in every single day, and one of the best ways we can say thank you is to provide them with a state-of-the-art working environment.

“We believe in making My Home move a ‘Great Place to Work’ and that ethos extends to the offices our people work in, the equipment they use and the food and drinks they can access onsite. We are always looking for exceptional people to join our teams, and we want them to feel that coming to work is an extension of being at home; where they are valued like family.”

As part of its commitment to the local community, My Home Move is currently developing its own apprenticeship programme to be delivered at its new campus on Grove Park. Building on the success of its conveyancing traineeships, which are delivered through its award-winning Learning and Development Academy, My Home Move will offer apprenticeships to the region’s school leavers, alongside current employees, who are looking to gain experience and professional qualifications in –

  • Conveyancing (property law)
  • Customer Service
  • Administration

Continuing, Doug Crawford said, “We are incredibly proud to be a Leicester based company and believe this to be a region with incredible creativity and talent. Through our apprenticeship programme and the development of our campus, we will be able to invest back into our region while growing the next generation of conveyancers, administrators and customer service operatives alike. This is an exciting chapter for My Home Move, and one I am delighted to be overseeing.”

My Home Move has grown rapidly since its inception fifteen years ago, delivering technology driven conveyancing services to tens of thousands of home movers a year. Built on exceptional customer care, the service My Home Move provides has won 30 industry awards since 2013, and is currently on the shortlist for the 2017 Leicester Mercury Business Awards.
