Furley Page lawyer Myfanwy McDonagh appointed Vice Chair of Law Society committee

Furley Page Partner Myfanwy McDonagh has been appointed Vice Chair of a committee of property specialists who provide law firms across the UK with advice on commercial, residential and landlord and tenant law.

Myfanwy, who heads Furley Page’s residential property team, is now a senior member of the Property Section Committee of the Law Society.

The committee is made up of specialist residential, commercial, and landlord and tenant practitioner members, and their practical support and guidance helps society members to achieve best practice when dealing with clients.

Myfanwy trained with Furley Page, qualifying in 1985. She subsequently moved to London before moving to practice law in Hong Kong. On returning to England in 1997, Myfanwy rejoined Furley Page. She is a member of the Kent Law Society, the Strode Park Foundation Committee and the Rotary Club of Chestfield.

Partner and Head of Real Estate Jeremy Licence said: “This appointment is a reflection on Myfanwy’s reputation and standing within the industry, not just in Kent but across the UK, and I’m delighted at her achievement. I believe it’s also a great honour for Furley Page.”

Furley Page’s residential property team has been successfully buying and selling homes for clients across Kent and the South East for decades.

Furley Page has three Kent offices, in Whitstable, Canterbury and Chatham, and was the first firm in these areas to be accredited as a member of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme, a nationwide scheme which recognises excellence in the home buying process. The Real Estate team is also recommended by Chambers UK and The Legal 500.

As well as helping with residential house and flat sales and purchases, Furley Page’s team of experts can also assist with auction sales and purchases, holiday and buy-to-let purchases, residential leases, shared ownership, mortgages and equity release.

Whitstable-based Myfanwy can be contacted on 01227 274241, by email on mfm@furleypage.co.uk or visit www.furleypage.co.uk.
