Firms announce CQS in time for Santander deadline

A number of firms have announced they have obtained the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation mark, in time for Santander’s 31 March deadline.

Last September Santander changed the terms of its residential conveyancing panel to require all existing, as well as new, member firms to gain accreditation.

Jane Brooks Law and Setfords Solicitors have both announced they have gained the mark.

Stephanie Sadofsky of Jane Brooks Law in Hedon, East Yorkshire announced its accreditation: "Jane Brooks Law is delighted to have secured CQS status.

“It is recognition of the high standards we provide to our residential property clients and is a signal to future home buyers of the excellent service level we provide at what is often a stressful time for many people.

"The overall beneficiaries will be clients who use Jane Brooks Law when buying a home. They will receive a reliable, efficient service as recognised by the CQS standard."

Setfords Solicitors in Guildford, a trading arm of Meaby & Co Solicitors LLP has also gained the accreditation.

Guy Setford, partner of the firm has said: “Obtaining CQS is a milestone for Setfords and we are fully supportive of the objectives of the scheme.

“It is incredibly useful for clients to be able to measure firms against an industry standard, such as CQS, and make an informed decision.”
