Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks launch fee free mortgage offer

Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks have launched a fee free mortgage offer beginning today (11 June 2012), which they believe will be a boost for homeowners.
The Banks are waiving arrangement fees for customers taking out a new mortgage or switching to Clydesdale or Yorkshire Bank before 14th July 2012.  This represents a saving of £999.
First time buyers can also benefit from this fee-free mortgage offer, which has a saving of £599.  The Banks have also reduced their rates for first time buyers to 5.99% for a 95% loan-to-value mortgage and 4.99% for a 90% mortgage.
Customers who are remortgaging from another lender will not have to pay any legal or valuation fees, subject to terms and conditions.
Steve Reid, Retail Director at Clydesdale Bank commented:
“At Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks we remain focused on offering a range of competitive products that meet the differing needs of our customers.
“Our fee free mortgage offer is designed to help people find the correct mortgage to suit their individual needs without having to pay an arrangement fee.”
