CLC to publish conveyancing data
The Council for Licensed Conveyancers has announced it is to make data about conveyancers available on an easy-access spreadsheet.
Individuals and businesses regulated by the Council have core information about them already published on their website under ‘Find a Licensed Conveyancer’.
Following discussions with the Legal Services Board and Legal Services Consumer Panel, the Council has fallen in line with other legal regulators and will make the information available on a spreadsheet, which will be updated at least once every three months.
The aim of the change is to make the data more user friendly for organisations that want to use the information for the development of certain services, like comparison websites, to improve choice for consumers.
