Beaumont Legal celebrates a decade of online success

Wakefield-based Beaumont Legal is celebrating a decade of being a “modern law firm”, after marking 10 years since moving from the city centre to its current headquarters and beginning to target online business nationally as well as in the region.

While the firm can trace its roots back more than 200 years, the move in 2005 marked a change from solely targeting the local area, to offering services through the internet to clients across the country. This coincided with a rebrand of the firm changing from “The Beaumont Partnership” to “Beaumont Legal”.

The firm has grown to become Yorkshire’s largest residential conveyancing firm and one of the largest in the country. In the past year Beaumont Legal helped with the sale, purchase and remortgage of more than 8,000 properties, worth more than £1.7 billion, while business in the areas of commercial property, wills, probate and disputes has also grown.

The celebration was a double one for the Wakefield firm, who were also proud to collect First Time Buyer magazine’s “Best Law Firm for Conveyancing” award for a record third consecutive year, after impressing judges and voters with their service.

Nick Masheder, Managing Partner of Beaumont Legal, said:

“It’s an extremely proud moment for Beaumont Legal to celebrate a decade of online success. We moved from the city centre to a modern office as we felt it was the best way to build the firm and to attract quality staff from across the region. We’ve overcome some huge challenges over the last 10 years ‘especially the recession’ to become one of the strongest law firms around and we have an excellent pool of home grown Yorkshire talent.”

The firm is continuing to recruit qualified professionals to join its ranks, as well as training more junior legal talent through its £150,000 Training Academy, launched in 2014.

“We’re very proud of our team and our ability to not only attract the best people but also to train quality recruits of our own,” says Masheder. “Like each of the firm’s four Partners I qualified as a solicitor with the firm and I hope that some of our new recruits will one day follow the same path.”
