‘Best Conveyancing Firm’ winner revealed at Mortgage Strategy Awards

The Mortgage Strategy Awards 2017 recently took place in London, highlighting some of the rising stars as well as the key players within the industry.

With a rigorous judging process, the Awards recognise a “benchmark of excellence” within the mortgage market as well as providing individuals and businesses with a platform to demonstrate their achievements and showcase their skills.

Held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, the event attracts over 900 industry professionals for an evening of networking as well as celebration.

The festivity of the event, however, should not detract from the tough judging process that nominees have to go through.

The first stage involves providers, lenders, brokers and distributors to put themselves forward with a personal statement on why they are the best in their field.

The public is then invited to vote for one of these nominees or to put an alternative forward.

Following this, an editor puts together a longlist from any nominations submitted. Everyone on this list is then asked to complete an online entry form if they wish to be considered.

Scoring and commenting on all of the entries are the judging panel – made up of industry experts. The scores are then collated, with the top ranking going on to a shortlist. On the day of judging, specific panels of experts are brought together for each category; these will include AMI/CML/IMLA members.

In the category for Best Conveyancing Firm, My Home Move came top, winning first place. The judges highlighted the consistency of service which the firm provides, smoothing out any issues to ensure everything is completed to the highest standard.

Also commenting on the award was Doug Crawford. The CEO of My Home Move drew attention to the firm’s innovative use of new technology, as well as praising the work put in by his team.

“Being recognised at the Mortgage Strategy Awards is a great way to start our awards year. We are proud to be recognised by the judges for our services and constant innovation to ensure our clients receive a legal service that meets the needs of the modern consumer.”

“Thanks to our innovative eWay service, thousands of clients are able to manage their move whenever they want, via a smartphone or tablet. We are truly revolutionising the customer experience of conveyancing, combining technology with a personal service provided by all of our conveyancers. I would like to thank everyone at My Home Move, who work tirelessly every day to deliver an exceptional customer experience to our clients.”

Just behind in second place was Blacks Connect, who were then followed by Goldsmith Williams Solicitors in third place.

Also shortlisted in the category were Countrywide Conveyancing Services, Equilaw, Gordons Property Lawyers and LMS.
