Spotlight: British Conveyancing Award categories

Entries have now opened for the British Conveyancing Awards.  With the extension of the ‘early bird’ entry, we wanted to share some of the categories with you.

Category spotlight

This week we’re spotlighting the following categories:

Community Involvement Award

This award goes to the firm with an organised approach to corporate social responsibility. The winner will be able to demonstrate a tangible and consistent programme of community involvement.

Innovation of the Year Award

This award recognises the firm or business that can demonstrate a how a new innovative project or product (for example, business process and/or product or service) has positively impacted on the ability of the firm to do their job. This may be a procedural improvement, implementation of technology or an innovation that can demonstrate an improvement to the customer journey.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Conveyancing Firm of the Year Award

In an unprecedented year both personally and professionally, attitudes toward mental health and wellbeing have been under the spotlight. With LawCare reporting a 9% increase in legal professionals contacting the charity for emotional support in 2020, this award recognises the firm who has placed staff welfare at the heart of their human resources effort.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award

Conveyancing firms must be part of the change to build diverse and supportive cultures. This award recognises  the firms who can  demonstrate  a deep-rooted commitment to promoting equal rights and opportunities, supporting diversity and creating an open and inclusive environment within the legal sector.

Outstanding Business Leader of the Year Award

This award aims to recognise those who have led their businesses through the most unprecedented period in living history and guided their teams through the challenges of 2020/21 to end the financial year in a better place in terms of people and profitability

Best Direct to Consumer Offering Award

Covid-19 has forced more consumers online in their search for home moving services resulting in many firms focusing on a direct to consumer offering. This category recognises those firms that can successfully demonstrate how their direct to consumer offering positively impacts on their business now and moving forward.
