Safe-Move hit charity milestone

On 9th August, Safe-Move walked, jogged and sprinted(!) their own Race for Life between their offices in Midway and the Shoulder of Mutton pub in Shelf. The event meant that since 2007 Safe-Move has raised over £10,000 for charity.

Over the last couple of years, Safe-Move have raised money through this event for the Breast Cancer Research but on this occasion chose a new local charity called Be Amazing Whatever.

Be Amazing Whatever was set up earlier this year by Kelly Burke, a former team member in Safe-Move, and her partner James when they suddenly lost their 10 year old daughter Jesse on 28th December 2012 to cardiac arrest.

It transpired Jesse had a underlying condition called Arhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy.

Safe-Move raised £324 for Be Amazing Whatever and hope that the money goes some way to helping fulfil the ambitions of the charity and helping Jesse’s love of reading, music, art and writing live on.

Safe-Move would also like to thank some local businesses for donating raffle prizes for the occasion.

These are Shoulder of Mutton for the event buffet and two meal vouchers, Gloss and Glow, Scoffers Sandwich Shop and various members of the Safe-Move team.
