Greenlight the award winning full service search marketing agency has conducted a report into the most successful internet legal services businesses.
By using industry data to classify 1000 of the most popular search terms that consumers use to find legal services an indication of audience size and profile of how Google users went about their search for Legal Services in February.
For natural search rankings the report determined which websites and brands were positioned on page one for each term to build up an aggregate view of the most prominent websites. For paid searches sponsored advertising was monitored.
For conveyancing one site in particular stood out www.onlineconveyancing.co.uk which reached a monthly audience of over 24,000. This site is owned and run by Drummonds solicitors from Chester. Elisabeth Bellamy told Today’s Conveyancer that she was proud to have achieved this result but it was becoming increasingly hard to maintain good rankings as competition for work on the internet grew. Drummonds out sources its conveyancing site search engine optimisation. The site has been live since August 2000 and has been significant in the development of the firm.
She went on to say that in the early days of the site the public had less confidence than they do now for purchasing legal services on line but over time this has increased and she considers that the sale of conveyancing on line will continue to grow.
