A new housing minister has been appointed in an announcement made earlier today.
In the recently renamed department – the Ministry for Housing Communities and Local Government – Dominic Raab is the 16th minister in two decades to take on the role and is set to work with the re-appointed Sajid Javid.
Part of Prime Minister Theresa May’s Cabinet reshuffle, Raab’s move will see him replace Alok Sharma, who had been in the position since June 2017.
