Legal referral scheme launched by JMW Solicitors LLP

With the prospect of troublesome times ahead, many conveyancing solicitors are looking at new and innovative ways to increase their revenue in a bid to combat the effects of the property slump. Manchester based JMW Solicitors LLP believe that they have found a solution and recently launched a new initiative called Lawshare.
Lawshare is a free to join scheme that promises to “assist conveyancing firms and other smaller to mid size firms raise extra income from work that they would ordinarily turn away”.  Offering a minimum of a 7% profit share of the profit costs on cases that are referred, plus additional referral fees dependant upon the case type, firms are able to turn unwanted work into additional revenue just by picking up the phone.
Lawshare also offers free CPD training to its members and access to the Lawsave scheme, which offers member firms cost reductions on office consumables.
JMW say that the scheme is “proving to be a popular way for member firms to save money and ‘recycle’ unwanted work into valuable revenue with the only cost being the price of a phone call”.
For those smaller firms who offer conveyancing only could Lawshare be the much needed ‘light at the end of the tunnel’?  We would like to know what you think of schemes such as Lawshare and whether you think this would benefit your firm.
If you would like more details on the scheme you can contact Stuart Cartwright on stuart.cartwright@jmw.co.uk.
