Paul is a qualified legal professional who has a strong reputation across the industry and a clear track record of delivering business growth. He has a wealth of industry experience and will help develop Legal Eye’s presence with a view to further strengthening quality and risk management as a central element of ULS’s eConveyancing value proposition. Paul will leave his current role as Partner at law firm, Shakespeare Martineau LLP, where he is currently a Member of the Real Estate Property Group Board with primary responsibility for residential conveyancing and remortgage work. Paul will join the Legal Eye team on or before 7th November 2016.

Commenting on the new appointments, Ben Thompson, CEO of ULS Technology said: “We are excited about Paul’s appointment and what it means for Legal Eye and its team and very much look forward to now investing towards a new growth strategy. Paul brings with him a unique set of skills combining relevant and qualified legal and compliance experience, entrepreneurial flair and a clear track record of business growth. This is a perfect fit for Legal Eye and the plans we hold at ULS. We look forward to welcoming Paul into the Group. I’m also pleased that Paul will have a senior team that he can work closely with when he arrives in his new role. This team will help him to implement the new growth strategy, so I would like to congratulate Priya and Lo for successfully being appointed into their respective new roles.”

Incoming Managing Director, Paul Saunders, said: “There is clear and sizeable upside for Legal Eye as a business in a market where there is an ever increasing focus on quality, legal compliance and heightened levels of governance. Legal Eye is perfectly positioned to help law firms to operate cost effectively to the various standards required and I really look forward to spreading the word about how Legal Eye can help law firms, and growing the number of firms that Legal Eye helps. I also look forward to working closely with ULS to make further gains in its share of lender conveyancing, which is already gathering some momentum.”

Jaunita Gobby, who founded Legal Eye seven years ago, congratulated the new management team: “I would like to welcome Paul and say how proud I am of these promotions within the team.  It is a period of change for Legal Eye but it’s all so positive and the team have responded well and embraced it.  Looking forward to the next 12 months and future changes, growth and development.”
