Law Society Excellence Award presented

Frodsham law firm Rowlinsons Solicitors took home a prestigious award at the Law Society Excellence Awards on Tuesday evening.

Rowlinsons Solicitors won the Lexcel Award for Excellence in Practice Management.

The judges remarked that the firm has used Lexcel to further their strong commitment to client care focusing on providing services that are relevant to the local community.

Over 600 lawyers and their guests joined the President of the Law Society, Nicholas Fluck, and BBC Today Programme host Mishal Husain at the black tie dinner and presentation ceremony at the Park Plaza Hotel in London.

The judges looked for the practice which has most effectively incorporated the Lexcel framework into its business.

The awards recognised the most outstanding practitioners in their field and were open to individuals and teams across the entire legal sector.

Denis Stevenson, senior director, Rowlinsons Solicitors, said: "To be recognised by the Law Society by winning an Excellence Award is a badge of honour for us here at Rowlinsons and one we will wear with pride.

“We have always put our clients at the heart of everything we do and are always looking to innovate and make what Rowlinsons has to offer better and better. This award is recognition of that ethos."

Nick Fluck, Law Society President, said: “This year’s winners have set new precedents in the legal profession and are some of the brightest minds and most innovative businesses in England and Wales- they are the Olympians of law.

“The Excellence Awards have attracted a record number of entries in 2013, and standards were incredibly high- evidence in itself that the legal sector, amid turbulent and challenging times, is ever resilient and evolving.

“Rowlinsons should be justly proud of the great work they have done which has led to this award. The Law Society is committed to recognising and celebrating excellence in the legal profession and we congratulate the Cheshire firm on this huge achievement.”
