Landmark Information Group acquires Renaissance Environmental Limited

Landmark Information Group has announced the acquisition of Renaissance Environmental Limited, an environmental consultancy specialising in the provision of due diligence services to commercial, agricultural and residential property professionals.

Renaissance will become part of Landmark Information Group, the UK’s leading provider of land and property search information.

Renaissance provides services to many of the UK’s largest commercial law firms and several leading financial institutions, combining desktop reports with in-house environmental expertise as well as a range of related services that can be tailored to each client.

Landmark Information Group already has an established relationship with Renaissance through the provision of data over the last 7 years.

CEO, Landmark Information Group, Stephen Stout was quick to praise the versatility of the Renaissance product range and said their specialist reports have a natural fit within Landmark’s business.

The combined portfolio will now cover property professionals across residential, commercial and agricultural sectors.

The proposed acquisition is subject to the usual regulatory approvals and consents.

Mr Stout said: “This new acquisition allows us to combine our technical excellence, unrivalled data and extensive industry knowledge to provide a comprehensive and tailored service to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients.

“Increasing attention is being paid to environmental liability, especially given tighter lending criteria prevalent in today’s markets, and bringing Renaissance’s services and skills to Landmark will enable us to deliver the future needs of the market as the legal sector, property professionals and financial institutions face increasing demands for data and professional insight.”

Angus Middleton, Director, Renaissance said: "We are extremely proud and excited to have joined Landmark Information Group and the natural synergies across our companies will enable us to offer cost-effective services and advice to the market in the context of investment, divestment, acquisitions and mergers.

“We have been supplying environmental reports and associated consultancy services to the property sector since 2004 and over time have established a reputation for our service driven business approach and the quality of our products.

“We are particularly keen to explore how by combining our specialist environmental risk services with Landmark’s market leading information & technology we can deliver new solutions to meet the needs of Landmark’s current environmental and legal customers.”
