HMLR Practice Guide updates
HM Land Registry (HMLR) has published details of changes to several Practice Guides in its latest update.
This guide deals with the registration requirements for overseas companies, in particular the requirements when they differ from those for UK companies. The guide also includes some information about overseas limited liability partnerships.
Change made: Section 4.4 has been updated to confirm that where a foreign company is already registered as proprietor of a registered charge, evidence is not required as to its status.
This guide is aimed at conveyancers and gives advice on how to avoid requisitions on applications and procedures where they do need to be raised.
Change made: Section 5.1 has been amended to clarify that documentary evidence is required where delays are caused by third parties and that any personal information supplied will be handled in accordance with the HMLR personal information charter.
This guide is aimed at conveyancers and deals with discharges of registered and noted charges and withdrawals of notices of deposit of land and charge certificates.
Change made: Section 2.9 has been updated to confirm that where a foreign company is already registered as proprietor of a registered charge, evidence is not required as to its status.
