HM Land Registry Enhances Users’ Portal Experiences

HM Land Registry has confirmed that customers are now able to manage all applications through the Land Registry Portal as well as all correspondence in one place.

Following the announcement that Land Registry was to allow electronic signatures  for transfers of ownership, leases, mortgages and other property dealings, the confirmation that all applications can now be managed through the portal, is welcome news for many.

Users will be able to access, through ‘View My Applications’, the information they require through the user-friendly interface, which will reduce the time spent by both users and Land Registry in requesting updates and information.

HM Land Registry have also included a number of guidance videos and a webinar that help users learn how to make the most of the service.

HM Land Registry are reporting good feedback from users in their announcement on Monday:

“The ability to view current applications and related correspondence in one place will save valuable time and reduce risk for conveyancers.” Bill Chandler at Hill Dickinson

“I like the way it alerts you to it being ‘new’ content. Very easy to find and clearly laid out.” Sara from Skipton Building Society

“I’m loving using View My Applications – this has really helped me while I’ve been lodging applications in the lockdown period.” Victoria McDermott at Beaumont Legal

There are also plans to expand the service further, with items such as “View My Colleagues’ Application” being considered.
