Free Legal Helpline Launches To Simplify Conveyancing Process

The average conveyancing case involves over 130 documents and 300 emails between clients and agents or lawyers. UNU Group’s new helpline offers support for those buying or selling property to help demystify the legal process.

Understanding the legal side of property transactions has long been the domain of CLC Lawyers and Solicitors. Conveyancing, or the legal transferring of a property from one owner to another, can be a lengthy process.

In fact, a recent study found that the average conveyancing case involved 130 documents, as well as 300 emails between clients and agents or lawyers.

The inefficiency of the average conveyancing process has sparked UNU Group to launch a free UK-wide legal helpline, designed to offer help and support to anyone feeling lost.

Founded by a group of industry experts, the helpline is designed to offer impartial advice to customers, to help put them more at ease around the conveyancing process.

UNU Group Director Nigel Allen explained: “We don’t think people should be kept in the dark about something as important as the buying and selling of their property, just because they may not understand legal jargon.

“The UNU Group helpline is designed to provide friendly and helpful advice to guide customers through the conveyancing process. We wanted to offer this without there being a cost implication, so that anyone can access our services.”

Demand for simplicity and transparency within the conveyancing industry is widespread, particularly with increasing advancements in technology.

Speaking at a recent conference, Paul Smee, Non-Executive Chair of the Conveyancing Association, said: “The conveyancing market is going to alter significantly over the course of the next few years. Firms can either embrace that change, and be the architects of their own future, or be overtaken by it.”

As well as supporting those with queries around conveyancing, the UNU Group helpline aims to offer support with a range of other claims cases and legal services, regardless of the situation.

The 24-hour helpline can be reached on 0800 085 8512. For more information, visit unugroup.co.uk.
