Feel Good Friday: Trio Of Promotions At Surrey Firm

There has been lots of positive things happening across the sector this week, so we wanted to share these good vibes with you as part of our ‘Feel Good Friday’ news items. 

Here is a little snap shot of what’s been going on.o

New promotions announced at Surrey Law Firm

Three solicitors have been promoted to new positions from 1st July at Surrey legal firm, Downs Solicitors LLP.

Ailsa MacLean will take on her new role as Senior Associate, whilst colleagues Charmaine Dudman and Melissa Richie will become Associates at the firm.

Charmaine works within the Corporate and Commercial team and after qualifying in 2013, has developed significant experience in all areas of corporate and commercial law, including buying and selling businesses and advising on franchising and shareholders agreements.

Melissa deals with a broad range of Private Client work including Wills and estate administration. She is also a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) with TEP status.

Ailsa MacLean has also developed significant experience advising clients advising clients on a variety of commercial property transactions, in sectors including retail, offices, and industrial premises for both investors and occupiers.  She also has particular expertise in advising on agricultural property and site development for both commercial and residential developers.

Downs Solicitors is a leading Surrey law firm with offices in Cobham, Godalming and Dorking – where there has been an office in the town since 1836.

Jen is the Senior Media Officer for Today’s Conveyancer, Today’s Wills & Probate  and Today’s Family Lawyer. Having gained a degree in Multimedia Computing, Jen fell into a content role after successfully applying for a job at Cheshire Police. During her 6-year service, she took on the role as personal Press Officer under the first Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire and worked in the busy press office for the force. Jen has experience in the marketing and communication sphere, which stems from her time in the public sector, private care sector and now here at the Practical Vision Network, where she can utilise her skills and challenge herself further.
