Envirosearch Prime fills “gap” in search market

Landmark Information Group have recently launched a new Envirosearch, Envirosearch Prime, for those buyers of high value residential properties with extensive surrounding land.
The latest addition to the search offering from Landmark is said to be the UK’s “most comprehensive environmental report of its kind” and features a “unique” polygon search, rather than the point based search currently used in most residential search reports, extending the search area up to 500 metres beyond the property boundary.
The search is particularly useful for properties that have between 0.5 and 37 acres of land, as well as properties with a value of £500,000 and over and fulfils Part 2A of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
As well as land fill data, liability assessment and all major types of flood risk being raised the report also considers chemical storage, incidents of pollution, and a review of whether asbestos is likely to be present within the building.  The report also reveals the presence of telecoms base stations, overhead transmissions and also such natural hazards as radon gas.
David Mole, MD of Landmark Environmental Due Diligence, commented:
“We are delighted to be launching Envirosearch Prime to the market. The report is based on the most comprehensive and accurate data available, which is particularly important in relation to landfill sites; a common cause of environmental contamination. Furthermore, thanks to the polygon search of up to 500m beyond the individual property’s boundary, this report provides superior information to similar reports available and fills a gap in the market for owners or buyers of high value homes.
Landmark’s in-house environmental and property lawyer experts assess risks presented by the latest environmental laws and regulations, thereby minimising conveyancing solicitors’ liabilities and protecting the value and saleability of the home. As a result, Envirosearch Prime really does provide buyers of high-end homes with the knowledge and peace of mind that their investment holds no hidden environmental issues or complications.”
