Conveyancing Firm First In Legal History To Launch Alexa Integrated System

Simply Conveyancing Property Lawyers have officially become the first property law firm in the UK to integrate with virtual personal assistant, Alexa, into their system.

Last week, for the first time in legal history, customers of Simply Conveyancing will now be able to ask their digital assistant Alexa questions and queries about their conveyancing transaction.

The national law firm which operates from offices in the East Midlands and London utilise the very best Proptech in the country, as they already recently launched digitally signed contracts to support and speed up the conveyancing process.

Ian Strickley, IT Director at Simply Conveyancing said:

“We are renowned in the industry for the development of our own cutting edge and innovative technology. This integration of Alexa into our internal system eConvey, will offer additional support and information for our customers on their transaction, 24/7.”

Simply Conveyancing customers who don’t possess an Alexa virtual personal assistant but wish to take advantage of the innovative service simply needs to download the Alexa app onto their mobile from their mobile app store.

Simply Conveyancing customers will be able to ask Alexa hundreds of questions to include detailed information about the conveyancing process, for a new quote on a sale or purchase, for help on their paperwork and contracts and for the latest updates on their transaction.

Ian added:

“We believe we are the first property law firm to offer this service to our customers. We understand that buying a property can be stressful and worrying so our use of Alexa adds an additional level of support for our customers, on the go or at home. Using voice recognition, customers will be able to ask Alexa for real time updates on their sale or purchase and for information and guidance about the conveyancing process. They will even be able to ask for a new quote.”

Last month homeowners across the UK have been able to access the first UK Amazon Alexa property valuation tool which was developed by a largely franchised group, Hunters. The first of its kind in the UK, householders can ask their virtual assistant, Alexa, what their property is worth in the current market conditions. The valuation data is derived from Zoopla’s own valuation estimate tool which is powered by property market specialists, Hometrack.

With Proptech ever evolving including blockchain, tokenised property, property logbooks and the Government-back digitisation of the sector, it could possibly be a huge leap too quickly for some property professionals as any new pioneering ideas is likely to receive some resistance because of the unknown.

But as technology is firmly embedded in our lives, future potential home buyers will expect the sector to invest in new innovative ways to make the home buying process more efficient and easier in the long term.

As a conveyancer, do you think this innovative Alexa integrated software will improve the home buying process?
