Clear launch “fast conveyancing service” with Ellis & Co

Clear provide an online system that collates conveyancing data and, by working with forward thinking law firms, conduct due diligence to ensure that the data required by the buyer’s solicitor will be readily to hand in one pack.  The system is reported to save weeks in a transaction and enables buyers to exchange as soon as they are ready, subject to mortgage offer and survey.
A replacement for the now defunct Home Information Pack, Clear’s online system pre-packages files making life easier for all involved in the transaction, whether that be the buyer, the buyer’s solicitor or the seller and their solicitor.  Not limited to the usual searches and enquiries the system also provides documents such as build over agreements and planning documentation, enabling files to be opened online, with the data packages being updated while the property is marketed.
The first major estate agency to sign up to this system is Ellis & Co, launching a marketing campaign for “1st”.  Ellis & Co, part of Xperience, Legal & General’s Franchise Network, have offices throughout the South East and London.
Mark Harrison; Franchise Director at Xperience says:
“Our estate agency brands have a reputation for innovation and The Clear service offers us a chance to innovate in a way that should significantly improve our service to vendors and ultimately get people moving faster.”
Director of Clear, Ed Powell, said:
“This is a significant step forwards for both Clear and the high quality lawyers we are working with. We aim to change the conveyancing process to make it faster, more profitable for lawyers and easier for consumers and estate agents to interact with. Ellis & Co is a well respected brand that is leading the way amongst estate agents.”
Clear handles the collection, and checking, of conveyancing data so that solicitors can concentrate on doing the legal work.  There is a hope that by using the Clear system the seller will attract a high quality buyer and exchange quickly, reducing the likelihood of an aborted transaction.
Matt Gillies, Managing Partner at R G Solicitors, says:
“RG Solicitors has used the Clear system and I have to say that I am very impressed. Clear provides a usable sale ready pack containing searches, title docs, enquiries and certificates to enable a buyer to exchange subject to mortgage offer, survey and any enquiries raised by the client. I have never seen such a complete system before. Clear saves lawyers time by collating conveyancing data and has helped me win business from estate agents who are impressed by this advanced system”.
