CLC focus groups to improve client services and policies
The Council for Licenced Conveyancers (CLC) are calling for its members to join in focus groups to help shape and improve their policies.
Both CLC solicitors and their clients are invited to take part in one of the two sessions, where important issues that affect professionals and consumers will be discussed from different perspectives.
All of the discussions will remain confidential and the CLC have stated they will not use any information given throughout the meetings to identify a particular law firm or individual.
Topics that will be covered include:
- The use and impact of client care letters
- Effectiveness of signposting clients to the CLC and LeO
- Expectations of Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) and the CLC’s Compensation Fund
There will be two locations for the focus groups, with sessions being held in London at the Legal Services Board (LSB) offices in Covent Garden, and the Manchester City Centre Crowne Plaza. The schedule for the groups are as follows:

Client participants will be incentivised by the CLC with £50 each as a thank you gift and light refreshments will be provided to all who attend.
