Have you signed the Call for Kindness Pledge?

Following on from the inaugural British Conveyancing Awards, we thought it would be the right time to reaffirm the commitment we’ve all made as an industry to help each other navigate through these tough times, and highlight our Call for Kindness pledge.

David Opie, Managing Director of Today’s Media who publish Today’s Conveyancer, said:

“At a time when practitioners around the country are under pressure, Today’s Conveyancer’s “Call for Kindness” encourages all those involved in the conveyancing process to respect one another, relate to the challenges we all face and recognise our own roles when it comes to interacting with fellow professionals.

“For many of us, the challenges of home working and home-schooling have at times been relentless, and as such the levels of stress each one of us are under at any one time will vary. Remember, everyone is in the same position. Everyone is human and doing their best. And most importantly take the time to appreciate what everyone is doing. The impact on the conveyancing communities wellbeing will be felt for some time and with the market showing no signs of slowing, there is a need to recognise the short, medium and long term effect on our industry.

“We can all take responsibility for setting the right tone to create positive and productive outcomes for our clients and each other. A negative interaction is unproductive.”
