CA Defer Payments On All Training Courses

CA Defer Payments On All Training Courses

The Conveyancing Academy, which is endorsed by both the Conveyancing Association (CA) and the Society of Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) for the provision of continual professional development and training, has made the decision to defer all course fees for 12 months.

The majority of conveyancing departments have been forced to respond to current challenges by taking advantage of the government’s Staff Retention Scheme by furloughing their staff until social distancing and lockdown measures are lifted.

Governmental advice regarding delaying home moves has significantly decreased movement in the property market and conveyancing departments are finding their work curtailing and reducing.

Whilst conveyancing departments operate with a skeleton staff and government rules restrict any furloughed staff from completing their contracted work, conveyancing professionals are left thinking of ways to best utilise their free time.

Many proactive people have started work on the next canonical text or spend their time learning a new language. However, sharpening ones professional skills and knowledge could be a great way of hitting the ground running once restrictions are lifted and the currently blocked pipeline of home moves resume.

The Conveyancing Academy has acknowledged the unique circumstances many of us find ourselves in and have tried to marry the current financial difficulties with a need to constructively fill spare time during lockdown.

All specialist online conveyancing courses run by the Conveyancing Academy from government funded licensed conveyancing apprenticeships to Trainee Conveyancer and Compliance courses are available.

All fees will be deferred until April 2021 and the Delayed Payment Scheme will also accommodate instalment options starting in April next year.

Lloyd Davies, Conveyancing Academy Managing Director, commented:

“We most sincerely hope that our deferred course fees allow legal practices to train their staff at a time which we hope never to see again! Over the coming months we have an opportunity to train Conveyancers using our remote online learning facilities whilst they are at home under the Government Furlough scheme. Academic training is permissible under the Furlough scheme.

“We are also pleased to announce that our new online CLC Apprenticeship courses are now available. We have trained hundreds of Conveyancers in recent years, with many progressing to running their own cases within months of completing our online courses.”

Today’s Conveyancer would like to know how people on furlough are spending their time during lockdown. Are you using it to bolster knowledge before the home buying and selling resumes?
