This year, Today’s Conveyancer launched The British Conveyancing Awards to recognise the herculean efforts of the conveyancing industry in keeping the housing market moving through 2020 and into 2021. Launched to coincide with the end of the original SLDT holiday, the ceremony in May saw the industry come together to recognise and celebrate the incredible work and achievements in the face of the challenges presented by the pandemic and the demand generated by Stamp Duty exemptions.
Categories never seen before in awards ceremonies were born including “Collaborator Champion” and “Mental Health & Wellbeing Conveyancing Firm of the Year.”
Nine months on we are entering a different phase for conveyancers. 2022 presents us with some different challenges; a flatter market, maintaining higher (and justified) fees rather than competing on price, on and offline fraud risks with corresponding impacts on PII, the balance of flexible working and continued digitisation.
To simply repeat the 2021 awards would miss the point of where the conveyancing industry is going.
So where do we go from here?
The British Conveyancing Awards are YOUR awards. They were brought to life by you, the conveyancing sector.
With the support of the industry we have decided to run The British Conveyancing Awards again in 2022 to recognise the very best our industry has to offer as we enter this next phase.
The ceremony will be live and in person on 15th March 2022 at Church House, London and simultaneously live streamed via The British Conveyancing Awards website.
And to fully capture and showcase the resilience, innovation and excellence that continues to drive this industry forward into 2022 and beyond we’re back with a raft of industry first categories, alongside some popular ones from the 2021 event.
Alongside “Innovation of the Year”, “Customer Service Champion” “Business Development Champion of the Year” and “Risk and Compliance Champion of the Year” and others, some of our new categories include
