Black Connect appoint former Gordons LLP partner

Leeds based law firm Black Connect have appointed Ian Errington as their new commercial property partner.

The firm who are part of Blacks Solicitors say Ian specialises in new builds and has 25 years of industry experience, including 15 at Gordons LLP.

David Gilman, head of Blacks Connect, said: “Ian brings with him a wealth of experience and I am delighted to welcome him to the team. His client focussed approach and extensive knowledge will help provide great support to our investor and developer clients in particular.”

“We want brokers to recognise that with highly experienced team members like Ian not only can we offer a holistic service, encompassing all areas of conveyancing but we can do so with a level of expertise that will enable brokers to feel confident their client is getting the very best service”.

Ian Errington said: “Blacks has a reputation for doing things differently and putting their clients’ needs first so when the opportunity to join the firm came along, it was just too good a chance to pass up.  Blacks is really heading in the right direction and I’m excited to get started.  I’ve been lucky enough to work closely with big brands such as Morrisons in the past and have recently moved on to more residential and commercial properties, so I’m very eager to put this experience into practice at Blacks.”

Errington comes into the firm after the unexpected death of partner Nick Wilford in 2015. Blacks have since set up a Justgiving page to raise money for the British Heart Foundation in his memory which you can find here
