We’re delighted to have ntitle on board with us for the inaugural British Conveyancing Awards. First of all, tell us who you are and what you do

With no fixed contract or commitment to instruction levels, ntitle provide a UK based on demand outsource solution to help with the peaks and troughs of the conveyancing industry.

ntitle aim to disrupt the industry by offering a straightforward, simple and cost-effective alternative to in house Conveyancing.

What have ntitle been doing over the past 12 months? I imagine it’s been a busy time working through a pandemic.

ntitle launched just as the pandemic hit so the last 12 months have incredibly challenging and exciting in equal measure as we have looked to establish the ntitle brand and product in such unprecedented times.

With an incredible amount of hard work and belief in our product, ntitle has not only survived, but flourished with wide acceptance in the conveyancing industry in the UK which has set us on a trajectory of continued growth and success beyond our expectation.

However, the highlight of the last 12 months is undoubtedly the way in which ntitle has enabled conveyancers, law firms and respective teams of all sizes across the UK to manage and overcome the challenges faced as a result of the pandemic. The simplicity, flexibility, transparency and quality of the service provided by ntitle has allowed firms to manage workloads efficiently, resources more effectively and continue to deliver on time and to the highest of standards to their clients.

We are incredibly proud to be able to have introduced a product and service that compliments the conveyancing process, supports firms of all sizes and drives improved transaction timelines and process improvement.

What do you think is the biggest challenge the sector has faced over the last 12 months?

The pandemic and subsequent lockdown restrictions have clearly impacted every facet of life and in this context, the housing and conveyancing industry. Whilst not one singular challenge is greater than the other, the domino effect of a collective set of challenges has perhaps reinforced what is always the biggest fear and problem, which is change and the ability to adapt, adopt and apply change.

New ways of working, unprecedented levels of uncertainty, personal and financial stress, the introduction of furlough, managing client expectations, managing resources, maintaining service delivery all necessitated and forced change.

This challenge is the most difficult to address and execute in the most stable of times and most methodical and thought out implementations for any company, but this amplified 10 fold with the pandemic.

And what innovations were you seeing in the market?

There has definitely been a surge in appetite to look at new ways for the industry to consume services and communicate/operate virtually.

The ntitle service is an example of how innovation meets the needs and demands of conveyancing as a changing and challenging landscape. ntitle combines best in class technology, specialised expertise and a point of difference for speed and quality of title investigation to offer a fire and forget, fully online service to one of the most complex and time-consuming areas within the conveyancing process.

What are your predictions for the sector in 2022 and beyond?

We are confident the property market will be buoyant in 2022. With the resources and practices developed throughout 2020 and 2021, the sector will be in a position to rise to any challenges faced.

We believe all parties within the sector need to work together with the common goal of reduced transaction times for the future. It is encouraging that the use of outsourced services has been widely accepted throughout the pandemic. Firms are able to see the benefits of a flexible outsourced service to enable a faster transaction and this is a practice which is becoming widely accepted within the sector.

Have you got any messages for the sector and our shortlisters?

It has been an exceptionally difficult time for us all both professionally and personally, but you should be incredibly proud of what you have dealt with, the way you have dealt with it and what you have achieved over the last 12 months.

Resilience, hard work and collaboration across the conveyancing community has never been stronger and more needed than it is right now. The nominees in all categories have shown how incredibly abundant these qualities are within our industry for which ntitle are proud to be a part of.

Good luck all.
