Windsor Partners Limited are a long established Lloyd's Insurance Broker. One of our particular areas of expertise as a specialist Insurance Broker is the risk management and risk transfer of management liability exposures, particularly through Professional Indemnity and Directors and Officers Insurances.
We look after the Professional Indemnity Insurance needs of Solicitor's Practices from multi-disciplinary international firms to smaller specialist practices. We see our role as trusted adviser to the Partners or Members of Solicitors Practices helping them with a range of issues including but not limited to:
• How to best present the firms risk mitigation controls in front of their Insurers;
• How best to structure the policy both in terms of excesses, choice of Insurers and Limits of Indemnity in order to provide the practice with the best protection;
• How to include their Insurers generally in a tripartite knowledge sharing relationship, in order that the Insurer gains a better understanding and can therefore look favourably on the firm at times of increasing premium prices or increased self-insured excesses;
• Helping to review the value of quality systems, i.e. ISO9001, Lexcel, CQS and IIP and assisting in their speedy delivery;
• Discussing options for different structures to take advantage of Insurers risk weightings for certain activities within the practice; and
• Looking at the threats and opportunities afforded by Alternative Business Structures.
The balance of our client base includes five of the largest international property specialists, in excess of 30 of the UK's top 100 accountancy firms, several of the largest engineering operations in the world and we are also one of the leading brokers in the area of PI for the Financial Services Industry and Independent Financial Advisers.
Our strength and quality of account provide many benefits for our clients, particularly with the mainstream Insurers with whom we figure significantly in terms of premium volume and profitability of account. Often we are in the top five of the largest producers of PI Insurance and for one or two we are actually the largest.
