Veyo and Lender Exchange at Derby Conference

Veyo and Lender Exchange at Derby Conference

Last opportunity to book place at event on Wednesday 12th.

With only a few days to go before the Society of Licensed Conveyancers Conference on 12th November both Veyo and Lender Exchange have been the focus of ever more debate and speculation. What exactly is Veyo offering to conveyancers and their clients — and how much will it cost? Are other lenders really going to sign up to Lender Exchange, and if not hasn’t it just added more cost and bureaucracy for conveyancers?

With the CEOs from both Veyo and Lender Exchange presenting at the Conference it is a unique opportunity to hear first-hand what the answers to these and other questions will be. With a packed agenda led off by Baroness Hayter and hosted by Paul Lewis attendee numbers for the event are already up over 50% from last year. Other subjects covered will include the relationship between lawyers and mortgage lenders, the latest on regulation from Sheila Kumar from the CLC and items on Anti-money laundering and SDLT.

Simon Law, SLC Chairman said "The Society’s conference is a unique event that is organised by conveyancers for conveyancers. From the excellent feedback we get each year we are able to continue to develop the Conference and indeed take away issues and ideas for the SLC to progress. I strongly recommend this event to all conveyancing lawyers."

There is a last chance for conveyancing solicitors and Licensed Conveyancers to book a place, get 6 CPD points and network with fellow conveyancing professionals. If you would like to book a place e-mail ania@conveyancers.org.uk or call 08714 237193.

The Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) is the professional body that represents the Licensed Conveyancer profession. It exists to serve the interests of its members working constructively with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) as well as other stakeholders such as Government Departments, industry representative bodies, consumer organisations and the media; national, local and trade. The Society has existed from the time the Licensed Conveyancer profession was established by Act of Parliament in the 1980s and has delivered many important and valuable services to members over the years. The SLC is focused on six key objectives: 1. Helping members to face the future with confidence 2. Providing a viable proposition for members to act on behalf of mortgage lenders as part of their panels (SLC Quality Assured is the SLC’s new solution, which is currently in the final stages of development) 3. Providing information and advice on the opportunities that the new Alternative Business Structures (ABS) provide 4. Helping members to take advantage of technology to compete for the future 5. Providing additional products and services to help members differentiate themselves to their clients and enhance their income streams in the process 6. Give members an enhanced and inclusive professional identity
