Raising Money To Beat Cancer

Last week the team at Searches UK baked, bought and gobbled scrumptious cakes all in the name of a good cause. Joining numerous companies and firms across the country they set up a MacMillan Coffee Morning to raise money for cancer research.

Searches UK donated money to MacMillan Cancer Support, whose current running total for the Coffee Mornings is over £6 million.

MacMillan Cancer Support was established in 1911 and has helped thousands of people affected by cancer over the past 100 years. Last year alone they raised £25 million through the Coffee Mornings and aim to beat this in 2015.

Lisa Summerton, Sales & Marketing Director, at Searches UK said:

“Searches UK were thrilled to partake in the MacMillan Coffee Morning and our team we extremely generous with their time and skills in the kitchen! We support charities all over the country and across the world as we believe it is incredibly important to give something back to our community. It was really easy to get involved and we all had a great time raising money for this valuable cause.”
