Spaces filling up fast for 5th annual Conference hosted by Paul Lewis
The Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) and the Bold Legal Group (BLG) have announced that Dame Janet Paraskeva the recently appointed Chair of the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) will deliver the keynote speech at the Conference this year which will be held on Wednesday 18th November in Derby. Against a backdrop of some uncertainty and differences of views on the future of legal services regulation, Dame Janet will provide her unique perspective on the subject. With many conveyancing solicitors considering a change of regulator to the CLC, Dame Janet, together with Sheila Kumar, the CLC’s Chief Executive will be able to provide much food for thought for delegates.
The Conference this year is sponsored by PSG, Future Climate Info, Redbrick Solutions and Howdens, and there is also a full exhibition with many and varied stands.
A packed agenda also includes Graham Farrant the new Chief Executive of the Land Registry, the renowned property expert Kate Faulkner and Paul Broadhead from the Building Societies Association. All three will participate in panel discussions so that delegates have the chance to raise issues from the floor. There will also be presentations on new processes and technologies such as Gazeal , Free2convey and Conveyancing Map, ensuring there is something in this Conference for every conveyancer in the country whether a Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or Legal Executive.
