On Wednesday 14th September, the LFS Conference and Awards hosted another successful event, drawing some of the country’s leading conveyancing and legal firms to celebrate the very best within the industry. With its increasing success, this year’s awards took place at The Vox Centre in Birmingham.
The event began with the main conference, where attendees received presentations by industry experts, which included economist turned strategist Roger Martin-Fagg and Sales & Marketing guru Grant Leboff. The conference also gave those who attended the opportunity to network with many legal professionals from across the country.
This was followed by the prestigious annual awards ceremony at the Gala Dinner, where everyone came together to award the hard work and success of top conveyancing solicitors in England and Wales.
Some of the awards included, ‘Direct Conveyancer’, won by Howells Legal, ‘Best Website and Use of Social Media’, awarded to Stephensons, and ‘Young Conveyancer’, which was given to Jack Medlicott from PLS Solicitors.
Regional award winners included John M Lewis for East Midlands, AV Rillo for London and South East, Howells Legal for Wales and West Midlands, Thomas Legal Group for South and South West and PLS Solicitors for North West. Searches UK sponsored the Yorkshire and North East regional award, which went to Harrowells Ltd for continuously demonstrating their all-round professionalism and ability to appear to their clientele.
This formal black tie event was hosted by celebrity broadcasting journalist Juliet Mann, who has worked in newsrooms across the world including BBC, CNN, Sky News Reuters and TRT World News Bulletin. Guests were invited to participate in a charity auction, followed by the opportunity to show off some moves on the dance floor as well as having pictures taken in the in the Searches UK photo booth.
More fun commenced later that evening at the Searches UK sponsored Casino Party Pit at the Genting Casino, where guests were shown the basics of 3 Card Poker, Black Jack and Roulette, with strategies to help win, without the worry of losing any real money.
